Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
