Note: Spoilers for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the powerful objects to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as key figures in the powerful family could enable the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them few options but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Seekers and Planners tables.
Audiences can anticipate learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
